After a hiatus I have finally got down to learning Norwegian.

Learning any language is a humbling experience and Norwegian is no difference – many of the phrases however have similarities to English which help ease the process.

It is always interesting learning  language which has relatively few native speakers – with less than 5.5m people Norway has a smaller population than many mid-sized Chinese towns.

On the other hand given its powerful economy, its beautiful landscapes and fascinating culture there may be much to learn from this viking nation and hopefully I can come out of the experience with an even deeper understanding of the Nordic region as well as be able to communicate in an intelligible manner with Scandinavians!
